Established, developed and managed an independent wholesale/retail automotive tire store with a tire volume of over 13,000 tires a year with a ten employee workforce. Acted on behalf of Michelin America Small Tires (MAST) as an associate dealer for Michelin, Uniroyal and BF Goodrich. Also marketed Goodyear, Falken, Pirelli, Sumitomo and many other tires. Inspected and evaluated over 500 tires for warranty consideration of many makes of tires used on both foreign and domestic models of cars and light trucks; including, motor homes, box trucks, off-the-road vehicles, heavy equipment and commercial light trucks. Sold and installed Poly Fill (foam fill) for commercial use in heavy construction equipment. Processed two manufacturer tire recalls: the Firestone (Ford Explorer) tire and BFG tire recalls of 2000 and 2012. Familiar with the industry Tire Guide and various manufacturer tire fitment guides for authorized safe tire sizing substitutions and Plus 1, 2, 3 conversions. In addition, have used Load Inflation Tables from Tire and Rim Association for correct tire loading application. Analyzed hundreds of tire failures to determine possible manufacturer defects, road hazard or customer misuse. Reviewed employee quality of inspection, repair and alignment of hundreds of autos and light trucks, including the rebuilding of suspensions. Established employee training programs and enforced safety procedures for proper tire installation techniques. Established company policy guidelines for tire fitness. Administered Cal / OSHA program. Set standards for customer and employee relations.
